ATAK Conducts 38th Anniversary State Level Taekwondo Championship 26th July 2026 | B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan, Bangalore The Amateur Taekwondo Association of Karnataka [ATAK] conducted the 38th Anniversary State Level Taekwondo Championship on 26th July 2026 at B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan, Bangalore. The championship featured competitions in individual tuls, individual sparring, and other categories across various age and belt divisions. Nearly 300 participants from different districts of Karnataka took part in the event. All matches were conducted as per international ITF guidelines with certified referees and officials managing the competition. The event marked 38 years of ATAK and was conducted as a state-level competition for registered athletes and clubs across Karnataka. SEE OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

ATAK Hosts 28th National All India Taekwondo Association Championship 20th – 21st December 2025 | Conducted under AITA The Amateur Taekwondo Association of Karnataka [ATAK] hosted the 28th National AITA All India Taekwondo Association Tournament on 20th and 21st December 2025. The championship was conducted under the guidance of Master V. Maruti Prasad, 8th Degree Black Belt (President of AITA and International Instructor) The tournament included competitions in individual sparring, individual tuls, and group tuls across junior, senior, and black belt categories. More than 200 to 250 athletes from various states participated over the two days. All matches and judging were conducted as per international ITF guidelines with certified referees and officials overseeing the event. Ambedkar Bhavan, Bangalore The Amateur Taekwondo Association of Karnataka [ATAK] successfully hosted the 37th State Level Taekwondo Championship at B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan, Bangalore on 27th July 2025. The championship saw participation of over 200 to 250 players from across Bangalore. The event featured competitive categories in sparring and group patterns, including dedicated divisions for black belt sparring. The day-long championship provided ATAK students and participants from other academies a platform to test their skills in a competitive environment and gain tournament experience. ATAK Attends ITF International Instructor and Umpire Course 24th – 25th January 2026 | Conducted by ITF India Council The Amateur Taekwondo Association of Karnataka [ATAK] participated in the ITF International Instructor Course and International Umpire Course conducted by the ITF India Council on 24th and 25th January 2026. The course was led by Grand Master Trevor Nicholls, 9th degree black belt (Vice President, ITF UK), Master Mandeep Rauli ,8th degree black belt, Master Indie Dhillon, 8th degree black belt (Legends Taekwon-do Academy) This seminar was conducted exclusively for black belt holders. Over the two days, ATAK black belts received detailed instruction on ITF patterns, fundamental movements, power breaking, and sparring tactics as per the latest ITF rules. The instructors provided technical corrections on stances, hand and foot techniques, and application of theory in training. A dedicated session was conducted on umpiring, where participants were briefed on competition rules, scoring criteria, referee signals, and match management procedures as followed in ITF tournaments. ATAK continues to send its black belt instructors and senior students for such programs to ensure our training and competition standards remain aligned with international ITF guidelines. ATAK Attends ITF Master Class Conducted by Skanda Taekwondo Academy The Amateur Taekwondo Association of Karnataka [ATAK] participated in an ITF Master Class organized by Skanda Taekwondo Academy in Bangalore. The seminar was conducted by Grand Master Trevor Nicholls, 9th Degree Black Belt (Vice President of ITF UK) along with Master Mandeep Rauli (8th degree black belt). Having international instructors on ground provided ATAK students and coaches with direct exposure to ITF training standards. The session covered ITF patterns, sparring drills, and basic techniques. Participants received technical corrections on form, posture, and application. The instructors also discussed current ITF rules and competition requirements. ATAK Conducts First AITA Seminar in Karnataka 9th March 2025 The Amateur Taekwondo Association of Karnataka [ATAK] successfully conducted its first AITA seminar on 9th March 2025 The seminar was led by Master V. Maruti Prasad, 8th Degree Black Belt (President of the All India Taekwondo Association and International Instructor) The session was primarily organized for ATAK association students and coaches. The focus was on technical training, rule clarifications, tuls (patterns), and aligning training methods with current International standards Master Maruti Prasad interacted with participants, provided corrections, and shared insights on athlete development and competition preparation.
