The Amateur Taekwondo Association of Karnataka [ATAK] participated in the ITF International Instructor Course and International Umpire Course conducted by the ITF India Council on 24th and 25th January 2026.
The course was led by Grand Master Trevor Nicholls, 9th degree black belt (Vice President, ITF UK), Master Mandeep Rauli ,8th degree black belt, Master Indie Dhillon, 8th degree black belt (Legends Taekwon-do Academy)
This seminar was conducted exclusively for black belt holders. Over the two days, ATAK black belts received detailed instruction on ITF patterns, fundamental movements, power breaking, and sparring tactics as per the latest ITF rules. The instructors provided technical corrections on stances, hand and foot techniques, and application of theory in training.
A dedicated session was conducted on umpiring, where participants were briefed on competition rules, scoring criteria, referee signals, and match management procedures as followed in ITF tournaments.
ATAK continues to send its black belt instructors and senior students for such programs to ensure our training and competition standards remain aligned with international ITF guidelines.
